The biennial NATS National Musical Theatre Competition (NMTC) is a premier event for the emerging professional musical theatre soloist. Through this competition, past competitors and winners have developed industry connections that led to their success on Broadway and other venues.
The competition has completed its preliminary rounds, resulting in the top 24 national semifinalists. The 2024 NMTC semifinal and final rounds will be held in New York City, due to the proximity of music industry’s top professionals in musical theatre. This year, recent Barber Studio and Laurier alum MacKenzie Sechi is one of the semi-finalists!
The semifinal and final rounds will take place during the NATS Winter Workshop in New York City on January 8, 2024 at the Manhattan School of Music. Admission to watch the NMTC final round is included in the package for those who are attending the NATS Winter Workshop, which is also being held at the Manhattan School of Music (January 6-8).
